Better law, order key to foreign investment, says UK diplomat

KARACHI: British Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, Francis Campbell has said that improved law and order situation will help encourage foreign investment in Pakistan.

“Peace in the port city will help attract foreign investment,” Campbell said while talking to Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani at his residence here on Friday. The Minister also discussed the policies of the government to bring peace and normalcy in the country.

Durrani further said it was an effort of the provincial government to follow the policies of the PPP leadership including its founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari. Besides, he said that all the political parties as well religious parties are being taken into confidence to bring back past glories of the economic hub city of the country.”Our policies of reconciliation will continue,” he added.
