Concrete steps taken to control law, order: Wassan

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan has said that  the provincial government has taken concrete steps to contain the law and order situation in Karachi and other parts of the province.

“There is no short cut but we are taking steps in collaboration with the police and rangers to protect the life and property of the masses in the province,” he said while talking to media persons on arrival at the Jinnah International Airport from Sukkur.

Responding to the situation in Lyari area, the Minister said that  it  has been brought under control and much more positive improvement will be seen in the area in this regard.

Regarding the security to operational units of KESC, he said that the police and rangers have held several meetings and hoped that the situation will be brought under control very soon.
