Islamabad: Interior Minister Rehman Maik Wednesday said that the community policing system would be introduced across the country while Civil Defence and community intelligence would also be resumed. Addressing to a ceremony organized by Islamabad police here at Nation Library, Rehman Malik said that Community Policing could not be succeed without cooperation of people and mutual trust between police and common man could helpful to move forward in this regard.
Praising former law minister Babar Awan, Malik said that he scarified his ministry to precede the case of judicial murder of Zulfar Ali Bhutto and his loyalty would always be with the People’s Party. Announcing the crackdown against electricity pilfers across the country, Interior Minister Rehman Maik Wednesday said that to strengthen the subsidy-run country, government has to take difficult decisions.
Interior minister said that his party had been sacrificing to protect the democracy in the country and would continue to do the same in the future too. He said Pakistan was passing through the most difficult times of its history and anti-country forces wanted to break up the country adding that the young generation was hope of the nation which could drag out Pakistan from all crisis. He said that shortage of power and unrest were the major problems of the country but government was trying its best to overcome these crises.
Rehman Malik said Pakistan was a responsible country and its nuclear assets were fully secured, adding that these assets were not like chocolate which anybody could easily grab.-Online
