Kaiser Bengali lauds approval of sales tax bill in Sindh PA

KARACHI: Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister for Planning and Development, Kaiser Bengali, has welcomed the passage of Sindh Sales Tax on Services bill and termed it a remarkable victory of the present ruling setup. He said, “The passage of this Act completes the historic decision of the 7th NFC Award and will greatly contribute to achieving fiscal autonomy for the province.”

It might be mentioned here that Dr. Bengali was the member of the 7th NFC which concluded this historic Award, he said. Sindh budget will be people-friendly: information minister

Meanwhile Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has said that the provincial budget for fiscal 2011-12 will be people-friendly and masses will be provided relief. He was addressing a reception hosted in his honor by Karachi Press Club. The Provincial Information Minister said that the present PPP-led government believes in the policy of reconciliation.

He was also critical of the policies being pursued by the PML(N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif. On the occasion, he also assured the office bearers of KPC that their problems regarding club financial affairs and housing will be resolved by the Chief Minister Sindh on priority basis.
