20 thousand employees to lose jobs in KPK

MARDAN:Twenty thousand employees would be sacked from jobs due to the non provision of funds to NCHD. Thousands of employees of five districts protested against this decision. According to 18th amendment transfer of departments to provinces and non provision of funds for human development national commission of CNCHD thousands of employees are expected to lose their jobs.

Almost 20 thousand employees would be dismissed due to the non provision of funds. Against this decision thousands of employees in the five districts including Mardan, Sawabi, Noshehra, Charsada and Malakand protested in front of the Mardan press club. The protesting employees blocked traffic; they marched from Mardan press club to Tehsil Kachehri Chowk. Protestants were carrying play cards and banners and were chanted slogans against the decision.

On this occasion District Manager Mushtaq Ahmad, GM Nowshehra Shaheen and others addressed the protesting employees and said that government has formed ruthless policies against these employees; NCHD is a part of cant division. They further said that the annual income of the employees of this institution is 1 million whereas for the Benazir income support government has provided 50 thousand rupees.

They said that if the government did not stop theses atrocities against the poor masses than a huge protest on the district and provincial level would be staged.-Online
