ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani will inaugurate Moosa Pak Shaheed Bridge on Sutlej River at Aimenwala. The 600m long bridge project is completed at cost of Rs. 1616 million. 4.55 km long approach roads are also built with the bridge. The bridge will link up the whole region with National Highway Network and facilitate transportation of the agricultural produces of the region to the big markets. The project will open up new avenues of socio-economic development and generate employment opportunities.
Moosa Pak Shaheed Bridge will reduce distance of 40km between Multan and Trinda Muhammad Panah. Besides, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani will also inaugurate widening and improvement of National Highway (N-5) from Bahawalpur Chowk to Vehari Chowk. More than Rs.532 million has been spent on this 4km long dual carriageway. Total width of this 6 lane highway is 10.95m and the median is 3m wide. Outer and inner shoulders are 2m and 1m wide respectively. The project is completed in 17 months time period. Both the projects are included in Prime Minister’s Southern Punjab Development Package.
