KARACHI: Labour leaders from Pakistan have left to attend the 100th session of the International Labour Organization (ILO) at Geneva. They include Executive Director, Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (PILER) Karamat Ali; General Secretary of Pakistan Workers Federation Khursheed Ahmed and Chairman Peoples Labour Federation of Pakistan Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed.
An statement issued here to Pakistan Times on Friday said that the session would continue up to June 17. It said that each member state of ILO is represented by a delegation consisting of two government delegates, an employer delegate, a worker delegate and their respective advisers.
This year the International Labour Conference meets for its 100th session. Karamat Ali is attending the ILO session as Advisor to the delegation of Pakistan, whereas Khursheed Ahmed is attending the meeting as a worker delegate.
