PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti has said that investment in hydel, minerals, oil and gas and tourism sectors can cement prosperous future of province. Provision of clean drinking water to people of southern districts including Karak is part of government’s priorities, he declared. He was talking to a representative delegation under president Takht Nusrati Bar Association, Javed Akhtar at his office on Monday.
Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Arshad Abdullah and MPAs from Karak Malik Qasim and Mehar Sultana, and Bar’s other office-bearers and President, General Secretary ANP Karak were also present. Matters pertaining to development activities in the area, provision of gas, unemployment and facilities of higher education remained under discussion.
Haidar Hoti stressed the MPAs for spending oil and gas royalty on provision of gas and clean drinking water facilities in the area, added, these resources will grow gradually. He expressed satisfaction over literacy rate in the area and agreed establishment of sub campus of Kohat University in Karak. He said that investment in higher and qualitative education is the
best investment for future. On demand of up gradation of Bacha Khan Model School in Karak, the chief minister assured that needs of the institute will be fulfilled and directed for preparation of report in this regard.
He also issued directives regarding installation of Water Filtration Plant in Takht Nusrati. The chief minister also gives away cheque of grant worth Rs. 1 million to President Takht Nusrati Bar Association. He lauded efforts and struggle of lawyers for uphold of democracy and independent judiciary.-Online
