Inquiry commission starts probe of Kharotabad incident

Quetta: Inquiry Commission comprising of Judge Baluchistan High Court has started the probe of Khoroatabad incident in which five innocent foreigner were gunned down by FC near its check post on 17 May in the suburb area of Quetta.
Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakkar of Baluchistan High Court is the only member of tribunal, which would not only hold the responsibility of the Kharotabad incident and suggest punishment for the persons involved in the killing of five Chechen nationals.

Justice Kakar has called the concerned people, staff of FC and other people to appear before the tribunal if they have any evidence or information about Kharotabad tragedy.

On the other hand, according to a private TV channel the five Chechen victims of the incidents were not terrorists but they were devotees. They also got visa of Iran from Iranian Embassy in Kabul. They were going to Iran to visit holy places through Afghanistan via Chaman border. But in the area of Spin Boldik they were trapped by a group of human smugglers which brought them to Quetta illegally instead of Chaman. According to the sources they bribed the security officials for crossing the check posts.

The sources said the victims of firing had not any kind of arms and ammunition and FC opened fire on them on receiving wrong information by the police. During the firing from the security forces, two human smugglers managed to escape.
A cameraman has got registered his name as the eyewitness of the case and presented video recoding of the incident to the commission.-ONLINE
