KARACHI: At least four persons including two women have been killed in separate incidents of violence in the mega city of Karachi here on Tuesday. As per details, the police recovered two dead-bodies from Awami Colony, area of Landhi, who are identified as Ahmad and Hameeda. The deceased were stabbed. The incident seemed consequence of old enmity, police said.
In another incident, a man named Adnan killed his wife Sidra due to domestic clashes and fled away from the crime scene. The corpse has been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. According to police Adnan was a swindler and was pressurizing his wife for selling his father in law’s house. A quarrel was developed after Sidra refused to sell the house and resultantly she was killed.
Meanwhile, a police personnel named Munsaf ur Rehman committed suicide. The personnel was transferred to Police Headquarter Khawaja Ajmair Nagri from Site Town a day back. He was performing duty along with Sajid at the rooftop of the headquarter when he shot himself.
According to sources Crime Investigation Department (CID) acting on a tip offs arrested three culprits including a key commander of banned Tehrik Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group in separate incidents here on Tuesday.
CID Police raided in the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth Police Station and arrested a key leader of banned TTP namely of Alauddin Burki and recovered a TT pistol from his possession. The name of arrested accused was included in the 5th edition of Red-Book (book carrying names of most wanted people) and considered close associate of Baitullah Mehsud, police said.
The police in another action apprehended two culprits Asif and Azam and recovered TT Pistols from their possession. According to the police officials the accused were wanted in more than 18 cases of kidnapping for ransom, bank dacoity and police encounters. -ONLINE
