LAHORE: The central leader of PML-N, Khawaja Saad Rafiq has expressed his grave regrets and disdain of Zulfiqar Ali Mirza’s uncouthness cautioning that majority of PML-N workers were not easy with PPP’s behavior either. Talking to media on the occasion of consensus meeting of party’s restructuring campaign held at the Model Town residence of PML-N head Mian Nawaz Sharif, he said that PML-N would finalize its decisions(s) in the 25th Feb meeting of PML-N’s central executive committee.
He expressed his deep regrets over the threatening behavior of Sindh home minister Zulfiqar Ali Mirza and assured that Punjab would not react in a similar way, as Punjab was ruled by democratic norms, and believed that all political parties had right to carry on their political activities.
He also denied that PML-N had shunned the notion that unification group had been manipulated by PML-N; “rather the unification group (of PML-Q) had itself joined us”, he clarified, adding that if still anybody had any reservations, the Courts could be referred at any times.
He said that if PPP was made to leave the coalition government of Punjab, it would be better for democracy, as it would help build a strong and conducive opposition.
He berated PPP for maintaining its 1972 attitude, and for not learning any lessons, while PML-N had learnt well from its past mistakes, and declared that no uncouth threats could deter PML-N to function in Sindh.
He advised Zulfiqar Ali Mirza to behave and withdraw his statement, while regretting that associates of President Asif Ali Zardari had never practiced prudence and decency, at all times; ” something that does not go well with ethics of a political party” he regretted.-ONLINE
