Pakistan Army hands over 37 houses to flood affected families

HYDERABAD: In Continuation of humanitarian support services, Pakistan Army handed over 37 houses to flood affected families near Sajawal, village Gahi Khan Sheikh District Thatta on Friday. These houses are amongst hundreds being constructed by the army through its own resources. The General Officer Commanding Hyderabad Cantt Maj Genral Shoukat Iqbal formally handed over the keys to the needy people in a simple but graceful ceremony.

The houses were handed over the people who had lost their shelter in recent flood. Each house can accommodate one family of five to seven persons. The houses contain all essentials fixtures of daily life. Beside these houses a mosque and a health centre were also renovated to meet the health and civic facilities.

Earlier, Brigadier Javed Iqbal briefed the GOC Hyderabad about the project and efforts being made to take care of the affectees.-ONLINE
