ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau declined reports that Chairman NAB Justice ® Syed Deedar Hussain Shah withdrew references against politicians, bureaucrats and said it is impossible without approval of courts. This has been learnt from a press document issued by the NAB where spokesman said on contrary, Chairman NAB filed 37 references in the accountability courts during the last four months and since any petition is moved in the court, cannot be reversed.
To reiterate, the spokesman said, that not a single reference whatsoever has been withdrawn or has been ordered to be withdrawn during the three or four months or so. The unverified speculations appear to be the hallmark of certain section of press, which is quite unfortunate.
Committees working in the NAB Regions also ordered to even activate the investigations pending since years without any progress, spokesman added. He said during the DGs conference, no order regarding closure or withdrawal of inquires/investigations were passed.-ONLINE
