Zardari, Gilani meet to discuss Pak-US relations, Raymond Davis case

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Sunday. Current political situation was discussed during the meeting. President’s forthcoming visit to Japan also came under discussion. Pakistan–US relations, political and economic situation of the country, Raymond Davis case, Round Table conference and portfolio of the foreign minister were discussed in the meeting. Gilani also talked about his proposed visit to Kuwait.

Sources told that, Gilani told President Zardari that the Judiciary will decide the issue upon the diplomatic immunity issue and the future of Raymond Davis. During the meeting, both leaders also discussed the absence of former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the new cabinet and talked about the related consequences.
