Boom Boom Afridi will lead Pakistan Cricket Team

Lahore: Media Manager Pakistan Cricket Board Nadeen Sarwar has finally announced that Shahid Afridi will be the captain to lead Pakistan Cricket team in ICC World Cup 2011. Misbah-ul-haq has been made Vice Captain. The decision came two weeks prior to the commencement of World Cup. Long awaited decision was late but in accordance with the aspiration of public. Boom Boom Afridi has been known for his attacking strategy.

According to TV Channels former Pakistani cricketer Intikhab Alam has been made Team Manager, Aqib Javed is bowling Consultant and Waqar Younas will be serving as Coach of the team. However his announcement has raised the speculations as to why Chairman PCB has not appear in front of media to talk about the biggest event ICC Cricket World Cup. Furthermore questions are being asked as if Shahid Afridi had to be made Captain, why PCB took so long to announce. Few call it a bear attempt to lower the morale of Pakistani Cricket Team.

Former World Cup winning Captain Imran Khan has also called this strategy wrong, that can effect the team performance in World Cup. Intikhab Alam is same Team Manager under who’s management Pakistan won World Cup in 1992. Whole Pakistan’s prayers are for Pakistani team to win World Cup.
