Islamabad: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, President Pakistan Squash Federation at Air Headquarters, Islamabad, today in which Senior Vice President Air Vice Marshal Syed Razi Nawab and the former World Champion Mr Jansher Khan were also present. Performance of the players and all facets pertaining to the game of Squash were discussed in the meeting. Jansher Khan has been appointed Adviser to the President PSF and National Coach. Squash legend had offered his services to improve the players’ performance at the international level.
During the course of meeting Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman shared his views about the game and highlighted the course of action to further improve and revive Squash in Pakistan. PSF’s future plans which aim at lateral spread of the game through launching of Pakistan Squash Development Strategy were also discussed. PSF seeks to improve the game of Squash and target talent at relatively younger age. Moreover, re-invigoration of Squash at District level remains the
central theme of the strategy for development of Squash.
The President, PSF appreciated the performance of Pakistani players in international events during the year 2010, as they won Gold and Silver medals in South Asian Games and recently concluded Asian Games at China. President, PSF reiterated that PSF would continue its support to the top level Squash players; however, they would have to work even
harder to improve their rankings at the world level.
