Clash with judiciary proves costly for govt, warns Nawaz

LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Quaid and former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has warned the government to avoid any confrontation with judiciary. Nawaz Sharif held responsible President Asif Ali Zardari for all the ills facing by the country today, adding that the clash with judiciary will prove dangerous for the government.

Addressing a press conference in London Mian Nawaz Sharif said that President Zardari has never accepted present Supreme Court, adding that those who put judges’ under house arrest should be brought to book. He said that President Zardari wanted to continue the Doggar court under the chief justice ship of Abdul Hameed Doggar.

He said that present government has not left any stone unturned for maligning the judiciary of the country, adding that we needs such country where there is no clash between the state institutions.

He said that 75 percent ills of Balochistan will be solved if former dictator Pervez Musharraf is punished for killing late Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti. He said that patriots tried their best to take Pakistan towards the road of progress but negative characters foiled all their efforts.

He said that the countries which were liberated after Pakistan are progressing in the committee of nations, adding that China was liberated one year later from Pakistan but she is superpower of the world today.

He asked the president to bring back the looted money of nation lying in foreign banks, adding that the president should apology with nation over his sins committed with masses.

He said that there is no presence of government in Karachi, adding that Pakistan is going towards the downfall. He said that severe rigging was done in February 18, 2008 elections but his party accepted the mandate of all political parties including Pakistan People’s Party.

He said that his party participated in 2008 elections instead of rejection of his and Shahbaz Sharif’s nomination papers.
Nawaz held responsible President Zardari for breaking all the promises made with PML-N, adding that President Zardari is using democracy for wrong purposes.

He said that democracy is the only acceptable governing system in the world, adding that all political parties should work together for the best interest of the country. He said that the failures of government should not be considered as failures of democracy, adding that his party will not allow anybody to derail democratic system of the country.

He said that he had singed Charter of Democracy (CoD) with former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and not with President Zardari, adding that all political parties should evolve consensus on new social contract based on progress, prosperity and protection of sovereignty of the country.

Nawaz Sharif said that the planning should be done while keeping in mind the goals of next 25 years. He said that if accountability of the wrongdoers were done impartially Pakistan should have not faced present circumstances. Nawaz Sharif said that judges of the higher judiciary should also be held accountable for validating dictatorships in the country.-SANA
