ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party (ANP) has demanded for the government to call the army for by-polls in Karachi. After meeting with Secretary of Election Commission of Pakistan, Senator Haji Adeel told media persons that his party wanted fair and transparent by-polls. But, he added, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has spread fear in the city.
He said that people will not cast their votes in this situation. Haji Adeel said that soon he will meet Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, adding that ANP candidate Pir Riaz Gul has written letters to Sindh’s Chief Secretary and the provincial government expressing his concerns over the election.-SANA
