Inauguration of ICT training programme tutors from 15th

ISLAMABAD: With the collaboration of Intel Education Initiative Pakistan, Directorate of Quality Enhancement, Allama Iqbal Open University has scheduled first time in its history “ICT training programme for its more than forty thousands tutors” across the country which is going to be inaugurated on 15th October, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in Sir Syed Hall of the University. Prof.

Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi, Vice-Chancellor of the University will preside over the function. After that the trained tutors will give training to tutors at regional and districts level. It was the vision of Prof. Dr. Sangi to arrange ICT training for tutors which will prove so fruitful neither only in educational quality enhancement but will contribute in country’s development and prosperity .

Allama Iqbal Open University is only the University amongst all Open Universities around the world which started ICT training programme for tutors. In the first batch, 50 tutors of Islamabad Region would be trained. The ICT training would be continued upto 17th October, 2010 and timing of the training is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily in the labs of Computer Science Department of the University.-SANA
