ISLAMABAD: The protection of businesses and an enabling law and order environment is essential to flourish trade and business related activities. Abdullah Malik, President of Pakistan Computer Association (PCA), Islamabad Chapter, said this while hosting a reception in the honor of Station House Officer (SHO) of Kohsar Police Station Inspector Munawer Ali Maher here on last day.
Senior office bearers of the PCA including Arshad Janjua, Central General Secretary, Furqan Murtaza, Abdul Rehman Tahir, and others also attended the dinner reception. Abullah Malik, on the occasion, appreciated the role Islamabad Police for making Islamabad a safe and peaceful city. He commended the efforts of police, especially of the Kohsar Police Station, for keeping a peaceful environment as well as providing protection to traders and business community.
He further said that business community was in close liaison with police and assured of its full cooperation in making the area relatively a safer place. He said that reconciliation committees were formed to settle dispute and general issues and these committees were abandoned.
He stressed for its early restoration by giving representation to business community, which would help resolve many urgent issues relating to trade and industry. Munawar Ali Maher expressed his gratitude to PCA on behalf of his staff and said that business community and citizen have always extended their utmost cooperation in maintaining peace in the area.
He hoped they would extend their cooperation in future as well. “Without involvement of business community and citizen, crimes could not be controlled” said Mr. Maher and highlighted the need of citizen police cooperation in this regard.-SANA
