ISLAMABAD: Chairman, Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC), Barrister Shah Nawaz Noon on Sunday urged every body of the film industry to play their role for the revival of the industry. Talking to media here, he said that Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani was taking special interest to resolve the problems of the industry while Culture Minister, Syed Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani were also making his efforts for the revival of the industry.
Barrister Shah Nawaz Noon said that the industry should make films on the problems of the people not on the names of robbers or dacoits. He said that only quality films bring back the people to the Cinemas. The CBFC chairman said that Pakistan has lot of talent and Pakistani actors were showing their abilities in India but not in Pakistan because of lack of quality material.
He said that “when Pakistan film industry started to produce the films on the names of dacoits and robbers then Pakistani people left the cinemas because there is no quality material.”
Barrister Shah Nawaz said that the construction of new Cinemas in different cities of the country has been started again and it is a good sign for the industry. He said that a large numbers of families were coming to these cinema.
