Supreme Court admits govt plea for time in NRO verdict review

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan admitted on Saturday a plea praying for more time in National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) verdict review case. A three-member SC bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, will hear the case on Oct 11.

Advocate-on-record Raja Abdul Ghafoor informed the court that the government counsel in the case, Kamal Azfar, has been appointed an advisor and the government needed some time to nominate a new lawyer in his place. Ghafoor has been ordered to present before the court the notification of Kamal Azfar’s appointment.-SANA
