ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to reopen Torkham border for NATO supplies on Saturday. Spokesman of Foreign Office Abdul Basit said that the decision has been taken after reviewing security situation. Pakistan had shut down the main land route for NATO supplies into Afghanistan on Thursday (30th September) after NATO’s attack on Pakistani soil that killed 3 FC soldiers.
Meanwhile At least 29 NATO tankers were torched after unidentified gunmen attacked the tankers in Bolan on Saturday.
The assailants opened fire, targeting the tankers parked near a hotel in Mithri, area of Bolan. 29 tankers and 4 shops were destroyed in this attack. Two police officers were hurt in the attack. Security forces have cordoned off the area after attack. Nobody has so far claimed responsibility for the latest attack.
