KARACHI: Police have registered the case of twin suicide bombing occurred at Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s holy mausoleum against unidentified bombers late Thursday. Meanwhile, the investigation agencies have launched probe into the incident.
Sources said the lawsuit number 601/2010 has been registered at Boat Basen police station upon complaint of Sindh Government. The case was registered under anti-terrorism act of the Pakistan Penal Code on charges of murder, attempt to murder and attempt to injure people.
A high-level probe committee, comprising officials from CID, FIA and other intelligence agencies, has been formed to investigate the incident, which is bound to present a report, based on evidences collected from blasts’ site, to interior ministry, sources privy to interior department told media.
It is pertinent to mention that at least 9 people were killed and dozens others sustained injuries in twin suicide bomb blasts at Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine in Clifton locality in Karachi on Thursday evening.-SANA
