U.S. regrets on Pak soldiers’ deaths: Mullen

RAWALPINDI: U.S. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen on Thursday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the killing of Pakistani security personnel in NATO helicopters’ attack. In the letter sent to the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani, Millen held out assurance to the Chief Of Army Staff that this kind of act would not be repeated in future.

He wrote the U.S., its ally forces would take steps to prevent such incident in the future along with Pakistan army. He said although the common report of Pakistani and NATO team regarding the incident was received yet the U.S. generals were further investigating the incident.

He said the Pakistan army would be informed about the results of the investigations. The CJCS also expressed solidarity with the families of the martyred in the NATO helicopter attack.-SANA
