LAHORE: The Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din has rebuffed the former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf’s remarks vis-a-vis NRO and the subsequent deal with Benazir Bhutto. Talking to media here on Thursday, he said the former president had not taken his party into confidence in this respect.
He stated that Musharraf promulgated NRO because he was empowered at that time. However, he added the PML-Q did not let him (Musharraf) to legislate it into law, as the Assembly did not ratify it. “When Musharraf was accompanied by good people, he speak out good; but now the way he speaks, shows his company”, Zaheer said.-SANA
