Islamabad hopes Obama will raise Kashmir issue with Manmohan

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesman on Thursday said made it clear that Indian half-hearted measures to settle Kashmir would yield no tangible results to move forward towards right direction. He expressed optimism that the U.S president Barack Obama would talk on Kashmir issue with the Indian leadership on his scheduled visit to New Delhi.

In his weekly briefing, Abdul Basit said that India was needed to shift its Kashmir police and take some tangible steps to resolve the decades old dispute amicably. To a query, he hoped that the U.S. president Barack Obama would talk to the Indian leadership on the Kashmir issue and the deteriorated situation in the occupied valley during his visit.-SANA
