Saudi Arabia hands over flood relief goods to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Ambassador Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer handed over the consignment of essential commodities for flood affectees at a ceremony here on Tuesday. The ceremony was attended by Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr. Farooq Sattar, Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Population Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan and Minister for Housing Rehmat Ullah Kakar.

The relief aid containing essential commodities would equally be distributed among 55000 flood-affected people of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Speaking on the occasion the Saudi Ambassador said that this is the fourth relief convoy of King Abdullah’s relief campaign for Pakistani people under the programme of one thousand trucks of relief goods for two million affectees.

He said that Pakistanis and Saudis were one nation and one family and Saudi government and people of Saudi Arabia would always stand by their Pakistani brethren in all difficult times. Speaking on the occasion Dr.Farooq Sattar, Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Firdous Asshiq Awan and Rehmat Ullah Kakar thanked the Saudi Government and people of Saudi Arabia for their generous help during this time of disaster.-SANA
