LAHORE: Punjab Bar Council demanded removal of Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Khawaja Sharif on Saturday. Clash between lawyers and police again erupted on Saturday when angry lawyers attacked on police. Police resorted to aerial firing and used teargas to disperse protesters. After clash with police, lawyers attacked on journalists. Lawyers also snatched cameras from two journalists of a private TV channel.
Earlier, Punjab Bar Council (PBC) suspended the membership of Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Khawaja Sharif and banned his entry in LHC bar. This decision was taken in the meeting of Punjab Bar Council. Restrictions were also imposed on Aitzaz Ahsan, Hamid Khan, Qazi Anwar and Nasira Javed. PBC also announced to cancel their advocacy licences.-SANA
