Unanimous resolution against target killing passed in NA; role of Govt criticised

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Tuesday passed a unanimous resolution against the rampant target killing incidents in the country. It was stated in the resolution the government should to take solid and practical steps to cope with the rising tide of target killing incidents. The resolution was tabled by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), MNA Nighat Perveen. She said while taking part in the debate that the incidents of target killing are increasing with each passing day and situation is moving from bad to worst. She asked for solid steps in this regard.

Sherry Arshad said that government played the role of silent spectator pertaining to the rising trend of target killing incident, adding that people were kidnapped in the day light in Balochistan. She demanded of the government to take a stern action to curb the menace once for all.

She went to say that at least 169 people were killed in Karachi in a day. She questioned as what is the fault of the poor, who are killed as a result of confrontation between the rival groups. She asked that that for how long the bloodshed will be continued in the country. She urged the government to explain the actual cause of the target killing.-SANA
