ISLAMABAD: In order to accommodate the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in different areas of Pakistan, the “Prime Minister’s Special Fund for Victims of Terrorism” has been established. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with cellular mobile industry, has started the 1199 SMS Service for the welfare of these Internally Displaced Persons. Through this service, subscribers of all mobile operators would send an SMS to 1199 by writing FUND.

Each SMS would be charged @ Rs.10/- and the amount thus collected would be deposited in the “Prime Minister’s Special Fund for Victims of Terrorism” for Internally Displaced Persons. It is therefore appealed to people from all walks of life to come forward and contribute to this national cause by sending SMS to 1199 and thus contributing to the “Prime Minister’s Special Fund for Victims of Terrorism” for the Internally Displaced Persons. • its gud method adopted by govt of pakistan. bt b honest in it nd where can we chek tht our money is given to these people

  • It is good to donate like this BUT the main thing is that 2.1 million people are displaced according to official figures and only 5 to 6 lac people are in the camps and all NGO and Government is helping only these people. What about other a.g million people from whom a large number is residing in feilds or under the trees without any help, shelter and food? whereas a large number is residing with their relatives. How long those relatives can support these displaced guests where for a long time who are supporting there families already with difficulty.
