LAHORE: The Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has asked the government to convene world donors’ conference for the rehabilitation of displaced people from Swat. He expressed these views while talking to media men after meeting with Norway Ambassador on Wednesday.
He said that all political parties of the country should set aside their difference and support Pak-army against militancy. Pervaiz Elehi thanked Mr. Robert and asked him to support displaced people of Swat as they did during earthquake in 2005. “PML-Q had started fund raising scheme for the restoration of Swat refugees and he along with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain will visit affected areas very soon,” he declared.
He said for restoring peace in Swat every possible step will be taken and Swat peace is very important for Pakistan’s sovereignty. He urged the religious scholars to come forward and take corrective measures for the presentation of true picture of Islam and also play their role for ending negative impression from the hearts of theses people. Norwegian Ambassador appreciated the role of Pakistan during war on terror and assured him to stand with Pakistan in difficult hour. NNI
