ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) have strongly condemned the statement of US General Patraeus in which it is stated that the next two weeks are very important for the survival of Pakistani government. Talking to a private TV channel, Spokesperson of PML-N Sadiq ul Farooq said that it is in wider interest of Pakistan to establish relation with US based on equality, quoting PML-N’s wants biletral relations with United States on basis of equality.
Responding to a question, he said US Government has shown no respect towards Pakistani Parliament decisions that would be considered as interference in our matters, adding that Pakistan is facing the current situation due to dictatorship.
Amir JI Munawar Hussain while commenting on recent statements of the Untied States demanded joint session of the Parliament and All Parties Conference (APC). While strongly condemning recent statements of US President Barack Obama and General Patraeus, Amir JI said that government had not imposed any restrictions on US officials meeting with Pakistani military leadership. He also flayed government over its silence on drone attacks.-ONLINE
