While Jamaat-e-Islami NWFP Amir Siraj-ul-Haq and Secretary General Shabbir Ahmed Khan condemned the military operation launched by government in Buner and Dir. They said that Awami National Party (ANP) government had not only deviated from what it had promised but it had been responsible for killing of innocent people in the military operation.

Provincial leadership completely failed in attaining provincial rights, changing the name of Province and restoring peace in the Province. It had developed corruption and culture of self-interests in the Province, they said. There was no justice in handing over the national territories to US for killing the Pakhtuns, on their home land in reward of $ 1.5 million, they added.

They said if federal government wants to win over the people living in the tribal areas; it would have to stop US drones attacks, military operation in Buner and other areas by separating itself from US alliance in fight against so-called terrorism.-SANA
