KARACHI: Pakistan women’s cricketers made clean?sweep in their three match series against Hong Kong when they beat the hosts by eight runs after an exciting contest at Kawloon Cricket Club Ground Hong Kong on Friday, according to message received here.
Women of the match, Kennu Gill produced a splendid all?round show by grabbing two wickets for 18 runs and slammed a brilliant 75 but that failed to save his team from defeat. After struggling in the first two matches, Hong Kong women’s showed a lot of guts before going down.
Mehwish Tariq made fine 51 as Pakistan “A” sent to bat first were dismissed for 188 in 45.1 overs. Betty Chan took three wickets for 51 runs. Hong Kong in reply were bowled out for 180 in the 47th over. Sana Gulzar took three wickets for 38 runs and consistent Shumaila Qureshi grabbed two for 27 runs.
