ISLAMABAD: PML-Q (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said his party is holding dialogue with different political parties however no agreement has been stitched up with anyone for the formation of government in the Punjab. Talking to newsmen in Islamabad here on Thursday, he said that he would be meeting PML-N (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif soon to discuss the formula of coalition government in the province.
He said that the formula envisaging participation of PML-N (PML-N), PPP and PML-Q (PML-Q) in the government is the only solution to the current political impasse in the province, as no single party form the government there. He said that he is meeting Nawaz Sharif with the spirit of bringing stability in the Punjab.
He said that the party’s CEC meeting will be held in Lahore on Sunday to discuss the current crisis in the Punjab and party members will be taken into confidence on the outcome of the dialogue with the political parties. Responding to a question, the PML-Q (PML-Q) President denied that his party is engaged in any conspiracy against the Prime Minister or the government. He said “our party while in the opposition gave vote of confidence to the Prime Minister and it did not believe in the politics of conspiracies”.
To a question about the forward bloc, he said that the politics of forward blocs should come to an end for the promotion of real democracy in the country. He said that there is no room for forward blocs under the Charter of Democracy (CoD).-SANA
