Table to be turned on Govt. on one call: Kurd

QUETTA: Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Ali Ahmed Kurd has asked the government not to use force to stop the long march otherwise the table would turned on the government on his one call. Talking to media persons at Quetta Airport on Saturday, he said that the lawyers were peaceful but the government was using ruthless tactic; however, he vowed that the lawyers would reach Islamabad at any cost.

Ali Ahmed Kurd said that if government would bloc one way then the lawyers’ Allah would open hundred ways for them. The government was not allowing him to reach Lahore by airplane but he would reach at any cost, he added.

He termed to think about the failure of lawyers’ long march and restoration of Iftikhar Chaudhry as Chief Justice as a sin adding if he himself would lost hope then how lawyers’ struggle would become successful. Ali Ahmed Kurd said that the people sitting in the parliament are indebted to lawyers and they were paying back their debt in the form of torturing the lawyers.

He also condemned the imposition of ban on private TV channels by the government adding that media gained independence with their sacrifices and the freedom was not presented in a plate. He said the government is using negative tactics for stopping him from going Lahore which is not fare.-SANA
