ANP decides not to arrest political workers in NWFP

ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party (ANP) has decided not to arrest political workers and party leaders during the upcoming long march. ANP has condemned the arrests of political workers and political party leaders in Punjab and Sindh. This was decided during parliamentary part in the Senate meeting presided over by ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan at Frontier House.

ANP nominated Afrasiyab Khattak as parliamentary leader in the Senate and decided to vote for PPP nominee for Chairman Senate Farooq H Naek. Talking to the media after the meeting Afrasiyab Khattak said that no political worker would be arrested in NWFP whatsoever instructions were being given by the federal government to provincial government.-SANA
