NAROWAL: PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that PPP will not succeed in its bid to form government in Punjab as Shahbaz Sharif is still enjoying the majority in the provincial assembly. Addressing a mass gathering here Monday, Nawaz Sharif said that PPP will face a “shameful defeat” when the Governor rule in Punjab will be lifted.
Nawaz severely criticized President Asif Ali Zardari and Supreme Court judges over their verdict to declare him and his brother disqualified for holding public office.
“Zardari embraced the judges who were appointed by Pervez Musharraf and who allowed an army general to run for presidential election with his uniform. These judges are now barring a two-time former premier to run in election,
Nawaz said that his struggle is not for any personal gain but to bring a change in society and independent judiciary in the country.
“I want nothing for myself. I had said during the elections that I do not need any office. I am just demanding these rulers that give this nation an independent judiciary… it will resolve all our problems. These rulers want to build a society deprived of justice and jobs.. I need your support to change the fate of Pakistan.”
