RAIWAND: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Secretary General Zafar Iqbal Jhagra on Wednesday his party would actively participate in the lawyers’ long march to be staged from March 12-16. He, however, said that he himself also filed application from NWFP and hopeful for his nomination for the Senate elections. To a question, Jhagra said that PML-N did not compromise on its principles only for ministries and would not compromise on them for the Senate elections.
On Sharif brothers’ eligibility case, PML-N leader said that there was no panic in the party camp as the nation had declared them as eligible. He demanded of the government to hold dialogue with the miscreants to resolve the issue of terrorism.
He said that the government should implement the resolution passed by in-camera session of the parliament in the last year in the wake of increasing terrorism in the country as the use of power was not the solution of the said issue.
Jhagra stressed for holding dialogue with all the stakeholders and adopting an independent foreign policy to address the challenges. He expressed his hope that President Barrack Obama- led US administration would change its policy regarding war on terror but it would do in its interest not Pakistan’s interest.-SANA
