AJK assembly adopts resolution on Solidarity Day

MUZAFFARABAD: AJK Assembly passed a unanimous resolution in connection to Solidarity Day with Kashmiris expressing complete solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir. The resolution assured full support of the people of Azad Kashmir with the people of occupied Kashmir in their struggle for right to self-determination.

It strongly denounced the atrocities of the occupation troops on the innocent Kashmiris. The resolution also urged the International Community including the United Nations to take notice of the gross human rights violations by Indian troops in the held territory. The resolution called for convening a special session of Organization of Islamic Conference to review the grave situation obtaining in Occupied Kashmir.

It paid rich tributes to the people of held Kashmir for their heroic and tremendous sacrifices for attaining their right to self determination and hoped that their struggle against usurper forces would be crowned with success. It also demanded United Nations to get issue resolved in accordance with the resolutions passed over the issue, to force India to halt mass killing of Kashmiris by Indian troops and to probe into the unknown mass graves.

Prime Minister AJK Sardar Yaqoob has said that no formula regarding division of Kashmir would be accepted.
Addressing AJK Assembly on the occasion of Solidarity Day with Kashmiris on Thursday, he assured the people of occupied Kashmir that every conspiracy against the freedom movement would be foiled.

Thanking Pakistani nation, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, he said that the expression of solidarity with Kashmiris from the part of Pakistanis would revitalize the freedom movement.
AJK PM also criticized the former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan for not giving time to AJK capital and spending more time in Kashmir House, situated in Islamabad, during his premiership.

Leader of the Opposition Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan condemned the Indian forces atrocities in occupied Kashmir and highly appreciated Pakistan’s role for strongly supporting the Kashmir cause.-SANA
