ISLAMABAD: Former Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Durrani has said that the unification of PML-N and PML-Q was necessary for the upcoming Senate elections and strengthening of Punjab government.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday here, he said the unification was the need of democracy, in the best interest on the country and desire of the nation. He said that the party leadership had no concerned with meeting between PPP and PML-Q leaders and termed the meetings as their personal matters.
To a question, he said that it would disturb the whole system if any one was trying to topple Punjab government saying any move would be dangerous as the country was passing through the most crucial stage of the its history.
He demanded of the government to call the cabinet session on the FATA and Swat situation and also President Asif Ali Zardari should visit the restive Swat. He said that 0.6 millions residents of Swat were migrated which was a big number in the history of Pakistan.-SANA
