Country cannot afford mid-term polls: PML-Q

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League –Q leaders have categorically stated that country could not afford mid- term elections. Chaudhry Shujaat said this while addressing a joint press conference with Punjab party President Pervez Elahi and Mushahid Hussain Syed in Islamabad.

PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said his party’s doors were opened for every body for the consultations on national security issues and for the strengthening of democracy in the country. He said it is his desire that the National Assembly should complete its constitutional term of five years.

Chaudhry Shujaat said Governor Salman Taseer frequently used to visit them but it is their final decision to play the opposition role in the country. Pervez Elahi denied any meeting with Mian Nawaz Sharif in Dubai, adding that the people of other parties are contacting them.

Addressing on the occasion, Mushahid said PML-Q is 1st party which presented its view point regarding the Palestine issue. He said his party showed great solidarity during the party meeting with innocent people of Palestine in the hour of grief. He said his party is the only party which is doing the politics of issues and will maintain this position.-SANA
