Moon not sighted; Yome-Ashura on January 08

ISLAMABAD: Moharram-ul-Haram moon was not sighted, thus, the first day of the holy month of Moharram will fall on December 30.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Chairman Central Ruet-e-hilal Committee, Dr. Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman after the committee meeting which met her for sighting moon of Moharram-ul-Haram on receiving no evidence of moon sighting, announced that the first day of the holy month of Moharram will fall on December 30 and Yome-Ashura on January 08.

However, the meetings of zonal and provincial committees were also held in their respective cities.-SANA
