Country to be defended till last blood-drop: Zardari


HYDERABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan would not compromise on its sovereignty and integrity and the nation would defend the motherland till the last drop of blood. Addressing the 47th Parents Day function of Cadet College Petaro on Tuesday, he said that Pakistanis are a great nation and they have the ability to defend the country.

He said that his country is against the all sorts of terrorism and extended it cooperation with Indian after Mumbai attacks. He said that the country is undergoing form a critical circumstances even though the nation is capable to defend the country.

He said to the cadets that they are having very heavy responsibility on their shoulders for the country’s defense. He announced one hundred million rupees grant for the college which will be spent on establishing new educational bloc, computer labs and promotion of education.

The President also announced one month salary to all the employees of the college. Earlier, Principal of College Commander Muhammad Aslam Rana presented the address of welcome.

Later, the President gave away awards to the students on showing excellent performance in Intermediate Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering examination this year and those who got distinction in matriculation examination. The President also gave away awards to the teachers.-SANA
