Indian fighter jets violated Pakistani Airspace in Lahore and Kashmir:PAF

According to TV Channels Air Commodore Hamayon Waqar confirmed that Indian air-force fighter jets violated the Kashmir and Lahore sectors of Pakistan’s airspace on Saturday. They entered approximately 4 kms in territory. He added that Pakistan Airforce is ready to protect Pakistan in any case.

Information Minister Sherry Rehman said that Pakistan Air Defence Alert Plans retaliated to the situation by hailing the jets and having the air-force escort the fighter planes back to Indian airspace. Sherry Rehman said that the Indian leadership had been contacted in this regard, and that the incident was described as ‘inadvertent’, and that the Pakistan air-force and army had been placed on alert, but ‘did not wish to escalate the situation any further.’

Prime Minister Azad Jammu Kashmir Sardar Attique said this violation occured in North and South sectors of Kashmir. He added that India has violated the airspace of Pakistan however on retaliation Indian Jets escorted back to India. He said that increasing tensions between two countries and such acts could be dangerous for regional peace.

Chairman PML-N Nawaz Sharif has condemned this intrusion and sadi that integrity and sovereignty would be defended at any cost. Maulana Fazal Ur Rehamn has also condemned the incursion.
This is pertinent to mention that this incident is a corollary of the Mumbai Terror Attacks
