LAHORE: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan on Thursday said that present federal and provincial governments would complete the constitutional term. Talking to media men after holding meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif, he said that Nawaz Sharif and the government had complete unanimity of thought that the current assemblies should complete their term in order to strengthen the democracy.
Awan said that there are many issues between the coalition partners but these issues need to be resolved through consensuses as it is the first time in the history the coalition governments are being experienced simultaneously at the federal and the provincial level.
PPPP and PML-N agreed for promotion of good governance and resolution of the judicial crisis in accordance with the letter and spirit of charter of democracy, he added. He said that both the parties agreed to stop any military coup in future and extra judicial steps. Senior Provincial Minister Raja Riaz was also present on the occasion.-SANA
