KARACHI: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has demanded of the government to take the reforms process in Federal Board of Revenue to its completion. The demand was made at a farewell luncheon hosted by FPCCI in honour of former FBR Chairman Abdullah Yousuf. President SAARC Chamber, Tariq Saeed, in his address termed as inappropriate the manner in which Abdullah Yousuf was relieved.
Not only the Chairman FBR has been replaced but other members of the organization were also removed which may affect the ongoing reforms process in FBR, he said. Former President FPCCI, S.M. Munir said the business community will pay taxes if they are treated in a respectful manner. Former chairman SITE Association, Mirza Akhtar Baig said although he is part of the ruling government, he is against the removal of Abdullah Yousuf.-SANA
