ISLAMABAD: A German delegation from Trade Men International (TMI) Consortium headed by Mr. Udo Hanses, Chief Executive called on the Federal Minister for Housing and Works Rahmatullah Kakar here today and discussed investment potential in upcoming housing projects. Welcoming the German delegation, the Minister said that government has chalked out a comprehensive programme envisaged to construct one million houses annually in the country for the poor, needy and shelter less under the directive of Prime Minister.
He said that the government would also provide houses to the government employees and general public under Prime Minister’s “Houses for All” Programme. The Minister said that all arrangements were being finalized to launch the mega housing projects spanning 70,000 acres of land across the country.
He said that the Germany companies have the hi-tech in the housing and construction industry and Pakistan would welcome their participation in the upcoming housing projects. Mr. Udo Hanses, the Chief Executive of TMI briefed the Minister of his company’s involvement in housing projects in a number of countries established in 1986.
He said that TMI consortium intends to make 80% investment in the upcoming housing projects and would apply pre-fabricated construction technology reduces 65% time and 20% cost of the housing projects. Secretary Housing & Works, Samiul Haq Khilji, MD Pakistan Housing Authority and JS, Ministry of Housing & Works, Ali Abid, Raja Muhammad Abbas also attended the meeting.-SANA
