Arts Council to celebrate I-Day in befitting manner

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Arts Council has organized colorful events on Independence Day on August 14, 2008. Lok drama festival, exhibitions and drawing competitions would mark the celebrations on Independence Day of the country. The Lok drama festival will be held in the Arts Council auditorium from August 7-14 in which local drama artist would perform. The drama will start at 9:00 pm.

On 7th August renowned painter Misbahuddin Qazi will display his painting with a theme “Beautiful Pakistan”. The exhibition will remain open till 11th August. Drawing competition will be held between students with the theme “Historical Places of Pakistan”. Prizes will be distributed among those students who secure the first three positions. A picture exhibition will be arranged from August 13-14 with a theme “Rooshni Ka Safar” to highlight the freedom struggle of Muslims in the subcontinent. The exhibition will be open for every one.-SANA
